I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Michigan, with a passion for mental health. I practiced social work in Community Mental Health for 7 years, where I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in treating mental illness. I recognized the significance of Social Work as a single parent and full-time student that depended on government assistance for support. My Associate Degree in Mental Health influenced my decision to practice social work as a career. My mission is to empower every individual that I encounter with the intention of assisting individuals with overcoming challenges and barriers that limit growth and success. My clinical expertise and experience with using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy leads me to believe changing the mind will assist with controlling, thoughts, emotions and changing behaviors. I also have experience with Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Task Centered Therapy, Grief and Loss Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I see every individual as experts in their own lives and my job as a therapist is to assist and support along the way. I am dedicated to promoting change and enhancing well-being.
