Thank you for selecting me to partner with you on your healing journey.

My name is Maria Elena Cadet and I have a license in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) in the state of New York. I also have a doctorate in clinical psychology. I have experience working with at risk youth, adolescents, children, adults and families in various settings who have experienced a multitude of life challenges and mental health issues.
I am enthusiastic and passionate about helping my clients learn coping strategies to improve their lives and manage their stressors. I am also dedicated to assisting my clients on their road to recovery by developing self-awareness, self-acceptance and equanimity.
My approach to treatment is eclectic and tailored to my clients’ needs and circumstances. Primarily, I use client-centered, cognitive therapy, solution-focused therapy, including mindfulness. My areas of expertise include working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, Oppositional defiant disorder, grief/loss and parenting issues. I am also proficient in French/Haitian Creople and have experience providing treatment in these languages.
