My name is Marguerite Braden and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I chose this profession because I enjoy helping people and seeing them achieve their hopes and dreams. My hobbies include scuba diving, riding horses and traveling. I love adventure, and sometimes that adventure includes curling up with a good book on a rainy day and using my imagination to join the author on a journey.
Experience has taught me that each person responds in a unique fashion to therapy. For that reason, I approach therapy in an eclectic fashion employing techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, person-centered and solution focused therapies. I am currently taking sports psychology courses in pursuit of my PsyD degree from Cal Southern. The applications employed by professional athletes like visualization and positive psychological techniques will be utilized in my sessions to empower clients to be confident, successful, but most of all happy and confident in their ability to reframe negative thoughts and create positive changes in their world.
