Dr. Margaret Sala is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Connecticut. She graduated with honors in Psychology from UNC Chapel Hill and earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She completed her psychology internship at the Connecticut VA Healthcare System, where she received extensive training in the treatment of insomnia. In addition to seeing patients on a part-time basis, she holds an Assistant Professor position at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. Dr. Sala will work with you to help you set a sleep schedule, adjust habits that may contribute to your insomnia (e.g., lack of exercise, inappropriately timed exercise, caffeine overuse), help you reframe and/or disengage from unhelpful thoughts about sleep, help you relax and decrease arousal when attempting to go to sleep, and help you come up with strategies on what you can do in the middle of the night when you can't sleep.
