Welcome! My name is Margarita Abrego, MA, LPC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have been working in the mental health profession for over 10 years; of which I have worked as a licensed clinician for 3 years. I have experience in counseling clients from diverse populations, and spiritual backgrounds with a variety of challenging issues and concerns.
I believe that personal growth, and self-discovery are empowering and necessary for living fully. With warmth and openness, I offer a listening ear, and a safe space to express/explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I am eager to assist you as you become more empowered and self-aware, live more open and less afraid, become a better communicator, to identify and utilize effective coping skills, improve your esteem, set boundaries and improve relationships.
My counseling style is rather eclectic. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities based on the need of the individual, family or couple. My goal is to provide a safe environment for my clients to speak openly about life's stressors in a collaborative and safe environment. Together we will explore, develop and create sense of balance, peace and self-care. During our time together, we will explore and identify relevant and effective strategies for building better relationships with yourself and others.
