I am a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Michigan qualified by over 25 years of experience working with a diverse population including children, adolescents and adult individuals. I am experienced with assessment, diagnosis and treatment of clients and their families regarding disorders requiring mental health intervention. I am able to provide help for those experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety as well as other problems that are causing interference in your ability to build a life worth living.
My approach to clients is client centered and also focuses on assisting with learning coping skills to manage your symptoms as you work to reduce them. Being able to gain an understanding of yourself , your thoughts , emotions and behaviors is empowering and allows you to improve your relationship with yourself and others. I provide trauma informed care using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing . I provide solution focused treatment that enables you to identify and solve the problems you are facing in an effective manner.
