I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I currently live in the North Georgia Mountains, but I am originally from Atlanta, Ga. I have been a therapist in private practice since 1986. I have worked in several in-patient psychiatric hospitals as a group facilitator as well as my private practice. I was the Clinical Director of a Trauma Resolution Program at a hospital in Fort Worth, Texas for several years. My greatest joy is watching my clients get better and enjoy an improved way of life.
I have experience in the following areas prior to my becoming a therapist: Child Protective Services, Medical Social Work, and Community Social Work. I currently work part time at the Union County Dialysis Center.
I work with adults in the following areas: Trauma Resolution, (current trauma or childhood trauma), Marital/Relationship Issues, Depression, Work Related Stress,
Faith-Based Counseling, Grief Issues, and Chronic Illness.
I utilize several approaches to therapy: Cognitive Based Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Solution Based Therapy, and Trauma Resolution Therapy.
