Hi my name is Marci and I am an LPC Mental Health Therapist from Colorado. I was born in Michigan and moved to the Rocky Mountains when I was in college.

I have worked in inpatient mental health facilities and units, outpatient clinics, and correctional facilities in my career. I have worked with a wide range of clients from different backgrounds and with varying symptoms and severity. I have have experience with both group and individual counseling.

The treatment modality that I prefer the most is Motivational Interviewing which is a client centered therapy that helps the client to identify their feelings they hadn't recognized. This modality helps clients to figure out some of the why answers on their own and then I help them to figure out the how using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps my client learn to change their thinking and behaviors by understanding why they're feeling and thinking in certain ways and things that we can do to cope.

My communication style is pretty open and friendly. I have the ability to give feedback to clients that are not fully engaged in their treatment. I enjoy connecting to people and being "genuine" is one of my core values so I'll be brutally honest sometimes and might even use a cuss word here and there.

My self-care is camping, hiking, sewing and gardening.
