I am a California Marriage and Family Therapist licensed with over 10 years experience providing clinical services. I've had the pleasure of helping people with depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, grief, work stress, substance use, and so much more. Not only do I have experience with adults but I have also worked with kids, teens, couples (monogamous and polyamorous), and families. My approach will sometimes pull from different approaches but I tend to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing as my foundation.

Besides my great amount of experience, one of my strengths is that I'm able to connect to a lot of different people. I have a history of working well with those with very little therapy experience or no experience at all so newbies or people just testing therapy out are welcome. I think it's because I respect that the people I work with are the experts in their own lives while I'm here mostly to help you sort things out. I don’t believe that therapy is about telling you what to do in your life. I also don’t think that what I may want for my own life is something that I should push on you. Sometimes it can be difficult to find your way out of the forest when all you can see are trees.

The most important part of therapy is the relationship and I work hard to build a bond where my clients feel heard, understood, and cared about. This isn’t just a job for me as I recognize that you are trusting and sharing with me parts of your personal life. I believe that my clients would tell you that some of my strengths would be my listening skills, my sense of humor, and my persistence to have you feel empowered.
