About

Hello and welcome! Taking that first step to seek out help can be daunting, but you have done it! And that is no small thing.

Many things in life can keep us from experiencing the health and vitality that we desire. These can include current circumstances, past traumas, relationship issues, family dynamics, and any number of other reasons. Sometimes, we experience symptoms we don't understand for reasons we cannot figure out. And while these struggles can be unpleasant (and even sometimes debilitating), they are treatable and you can feel better. I absolutely believe this to be true for every person -- otherwise, I wouldn't be in this profession.

I graduated with my Master's degree in Clinical Counseling in 2011 from Denver Seminary. Although I completed my training at a religious institution, I hold in the highest regard the beliefs of all people from atheist to agnostic to orthodox. We all must find our path in life, and my work is to support you in your journey -- no matter what path you are walking along. I am LGBTQ supportive and believe that every person has the right to be exactly who they are. I am licensed in the state of Colorado as an LPC and am working toward licensure in addictions counseling. I also have advanced training in trauma and anxiety/PTSD.

My approach to therapy is based on the belief that you are the expert on yourself, whether you know it or not! I will work with you to uncover the talents and strengths that are unique to you at the same time that we look at the unhelpful thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs that are holding you back from living your best life. I have experiencing working with individuals who struggle with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship issues, parenting issues, and those who have been or are justice involved. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivation Interviewing, and Person-centered approaches to create a supportive and engaging atmosphere for change.

I am looking forward to journeying with you towards healing and health!
