About
I worked in an inpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation center during graduate school. It helped me realize that clinical counseling is where my heart is. I used to be a school counselor at an elementary and junior high school. As well as at a K-12 school. I realized that I could make more of an impact in the private practice sector. I also have experience as a therapist in problem solving courts specifically drug court, veterans court and mental health courts. I learned an invaluable amount of knowledge from these experiences. For the last 5 years, I have been in private practice. I began working with little children ages 3-10 and specifically children in foster care. I have found that my "niche" is adolescents and young adults, specifically women. I have had much success working with this specific population. We work through a variety of issues including, creating and building self esteem and confidence, stopping self-harm, reducing and managing anxiety, and relationship issues.
