About

I am a licensed counselor in the state of Florida. I have a bachelors in social work from Florida State University and a masters from Florida Gulf Coast University. I have been married for over 15 years and have two children. I have devoted much of my life to helping children, individuals and families through life’s challenges. I have medical and school social work experience. I have an interest in trauma and grief care and have helped clients who have experienced anxiety, depression, and past emotional or physical abuse. In the past I have worked in private practice that utilized pet therapy. I also have an interest in art therapy and yoga.
My counseling style is warm and accepting. I don’t believe in labeling people and know that considering a counselor can be overwhelming. My approach is client centered using a variety of counseling modalities such as cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and solution focused to best meet your needs. I look forward to working with you on your journey to more peace and clarity.
