Mahtab Moradi has over 22 years of experience in counseling psychology with a specialty in Marriage and Family. She graduated with her bachelors in psychology from the University of Texas in Austin. She went on to graduate school and earned a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy. Upon completion of her graduate studies, Mahtab continued with a post-Master's fellowship in Behavioral Medicine from the UTBM. Her career in counseling began in serving the indigent clinics of the greater Galveston County. In 2003, she took the role of staff clinician at Devereux Behavioral Health where she spent the next 11 years working with at-risk adolescents with behavioral challenges in developing programs, working with the juvenile justice systems, and delivering trauma-informed care. In 2013, Mahtab joined a group practice as a co-director of clinical services with the South Shore Center for Couples and Families. In this role, she implemented community outreach programs targeting public schools, faith-based communities, and health care providers. She helped implement marketing strategies to scale mental health services. In 2019, she took on a new role as managing partner with Formulamed. In this role, she helped with navigating workplace mental health challenges during COVID. In 2022, she piloted an EQ-based performance coaching program for a mid-sized recruitment agency targeting staff retention and key performance indicators.
