Thank you for taking the time to prioritize yourself and you mental health! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas I'm glad you're here. I know personally that this can be a scary and uncomfortable process in the beginning but well worth the sacrifice for yourself and others. Therefore, it is my intention to always create a safe space for honesty, encouragement, and warmth.
I have a total of seven year’s experience in the mental health/helping field and 4 years’ experience as a licensed mental health professional. My therapeutic approach to therapy is trauma-informed and I use multiple therapeutic modalities. My focused modalities include EMDR, Mindfulness and Meditation, trauma focused and other focused CBT techniques. I also lean heavily on person centered therapy working hard to create a strong therapeutic relationship first and foremost. Once the trust and authenticity is established I have experience working closely with teens, substance use, anxiety, depression, survivors of abuse and PTSD. I also have training with DBT to help individuals develop emotion regulation, interpersonal/relationship skills and skills to tolerate uncomfortable emotions. . I also have treatment in anger management.
