About

I am an LMFT in Southern California. I am not like any other Therapist you have had in the past. I have been on both sides of the "therapy chair", and understand the anxiety and fear that comes with attending therapy whether it's your first or first of many times in therapy. I can tell you that the most important part of therapy is finding the right therapist. I can tell you personally, comfort is key, and it's ok to change therapists at various times in your life or even at the beginning. I have a range of Professional experience in all levels of care from Hospital Inpatient to Outpatient (which is your level of care), and every level of care between the two. While I have provided therapy for clients experiencing a wide range of diagnosis, and I have experience working with different Treatment interventions and skills, I tend to operate from a Humanitarian position. What's right for you, may not be what's right for others, much like Tylenol works for one with a Headache but Excedrin works for others, again it's a comfort is key type of approach. I believe you are the expert on your life, and my job as a therapist is to help you navigate your way through what you are experiencing, as your sounding board, devil's advocate, organizer of thoughts, even teacher of therapeutic skills to help you return to a more comfortable place within yourself and your life. I will leave this intro with this, I am a normal person. I don't have life all figured out or, some secret key to life/magic wand to make anything happen, I am a person just like you. I am a Veteran of the United States Air Force. I am a Mom to an 11 year old boy, who keeps me busy as his personal jack of all trades with his Hockey and Acting. I have Pit Bull/Dauschund mix Dog Tiger Lilly who's personality is larger than her. I look forward to the opportunity to be invited into your life and join you on your journey through this time in your life, whether we meet once or sustain regularly scheduled sessions.
