Lynn Young is Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Master of Arts in Psychology from Brandman University in 2015. Lynn worked in the Court system beginning in 2008 and became a mediator in 2016 working with an extremely diverse cultural and socioeconomic clientele until October 2022, when she began working solely in private practice. While working at the Court, Lynn volunteered at local women’s shelters counseling women and children residing in the shelters. Working at the Court and in the shelter, Lynn has had the opportunity to work with clients exposed to traumas of domestic abuse, child abuse, divorce/separation, homelessness, substance abuse, anger management issues, and many DSM diagnosis. Lynn specializes in individual and couples counseling and is certified Gottman Method Couples Counseling Level 1, Solution Focused Therapy Level 1, CBT Master Core Skills and Competencies and continues to actively pursue trainings to support her clients’ best interests and needs. Lynn is passionate about inviting clients to recognize their strengths, resiliency and exceptions to presenting issues. Lynn walks compassionately with her clients to restore hope in their preferred future.
