I have over 18 years of experience working with clients throughout the developmental cycles- from elementary school through older adult issues.  I received my Masters in Social Work from University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work.
I believe that therapy can be the best gift that one can give themselves and that therapy does not "fix" things - no one is "broken" - we may not have found our best, and most enjoyable self as of yet and that is something therapy can assist with.
Each client is different and that is what I work with.  I utilize self-directed therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Rogerian, with some Cognitive Behavioral sprinkled in where needed.
One of my passions is to assist adolescents as they experience challenges finding who they are through the school and home community system.  I have assisted many adolescents with anxiety disorders feel and perform successfully in appropriate school settings.
Another of my passions is to work with survivors of sexual assaults - both men and women. Sexual Assault may impact many aspects of a survivors’ world and through our working together they can rework how they create their world space and interact with it.  I have over 10 years’ experience of working with sexual assault survivors in settings such as prison, as well as in outpatient settings.  My most recent work experience with sexual assault survivors has been with military service members for over 9 years.
I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and helping people explore their personal growth goals.  I look forward to working with you on your specific goals and appreciate your courage and strength by reaching out and exploring therapy options for yourself.
