My name is Lyndsey Luther and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I hope you know how amazing I think it is that you are on Find A Therapist looking for assistance and guidance to any life challenges you are currently facing. I have been licensed for one year but have 5 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities, including those with various mental illnesses (this includes anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, and learning disabilities to name a few). I have experience in working with individuals with stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, career paths, communication styles, relationships, family dynamics, and trauma to name a few. I am also practicing sex therapy and can assist individuals who present problems such as low libido, erectile disfunction, orgasm difficulties, etc. in all different types of romantic relationships.

My philosophy with therapy is that I am here to guide you while you do the work to transform and improve your life. I will provide feedback to address change and challenge your thought process when necessary. I also strongly believe in active listening and validation, all while using methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, or short-term solution-focused therapy (including suggestions of things to do at home that I feel could be helpful). I believe in meeting the client where they are so I can get to know you as best as possible to create the ultimate goals and treatment plan that you desire. During our time in therapy, I want to be a champion to celebrate your successes with you and a professional and empathetic support when things are difficult. I want to utilize our time in the best way possible during our session times, and this could mean simply talking to each other or we could use books, apps, activities, etc. to assist you in moving forward.

My job is to listen to you, to validate you, to walk along side you, and to guide you through various methods or challenges to create improvement in your life and to meet the goals you have for therapy. I look forward to working with you!
