About
My Expertise is Communication and Mental Health
As a clinician, my passion lies in helping individuals become more effective communicators. Growing up in a Puerto Rican household where raised voices were commonplace and active listening was scarce, I felt compelled to seek better ways of connecting with others. Through my work, I’ve discovered that teaching people to understand their communication patterns can significantly improve family dynamics and intimate relationships.
I firmly believe in psychoeducation as a powerful tool for demystifying mental health diagnoses and combating associated stigma. Since 2016, I’ve been providing individual, family, and group services, addressing conditions such as Bipolar disorder, Depression, ADHD, Anxiety, Borderline Personality disorder, and adjustment disorders. My clients often face co-occurring challenges related to mental health and substance abuse.
Over the years, I’ve worked across diverse environments, including PROS programs, residential facilities, and outpatient settings. I’ve assisted individuals in creating personalized treatment plans, focusing on their unique goals, and supporting them in securing and maintaining employment. My educational journey includes a Bachelor’s degree from Lehman College in the Bronx and a Master’s degree from the College of New Rochelle. Currently, I practice in an outpatient clinic in the Bronx, dedicated to promoting mental well-being and fostering effective communication.
