About
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 86942) having received a Master's degree from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena. I have over eleven years of experience in the mental health field working with adults, children, and families. Many clients I have worked with have endured disorders such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and family conflict. I have been trained in several modalities and evidenced based practices including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP). I also practice group therapy, including a work centered on using horticulture (gardening) based activities.
My approach to clinical work involves using empathy and a client's strengths to assist them in achieving goals that will permit them to overcome the emotional hardship their stressors bring into their lives. I firmly believe the therapeutic process has to be fitted to the client's needs and undertaken one step at a time. Using open communication between client and therapist is also vital to maintaining a strong professional partnership.
I look forward to serving you as you take these import steps on a journey towards healing.
