About

I am a clinical social worker licensed to practice independently in South Carolina. I have over 20 years of experience in community and outpatient clinic settings. During this time I have been able to support individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, dealing with personal and career transitions as well as coping with loss. My background as a trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapist allows me to assist individuals who have experienced trauma process their painful experiences in a safe and nurturing environment.
My counseling style seeks to provide the basis for a relationship forged on trust and fed by warm acceptance and unconditional regard. My approach is a client-centered, humanistic approach informed by cognitive-behavioral theory.
My experiences have served to reinforce the notion that we could grow in our understanding of how our thoughts and feelings inform our behaviors. In gaining insight into some of our destructive or unproductive patterns; we could gain insight and motivation to effect positive changes. I hope to be part of this process for you.
