There is no “one-size fits all” when it comes to therapy and choosing a therapist. As each individual is unique and different, therapy should be too. That’s why I utilize a humanistic, client-centered therapeutic approach in working with clients where you take the lead while navigating the challenges of everyday life. From community-based mental health and substance abuse treatment to inpatient competency restoration treatment for individuals that are incarcerated, I have had the joy of working with and getting to know people from all different walks of life. My experience in different mental health/substance abuse entities allowed me to gain significant experience working with a variety of mental illnesses. In addition to working with individuals experiencing these challenges, working with and educating families of those suffering from such disorders has also been a key component in treatment. I would love to be a part of the journey for anyone wanting to work through the challenges of mental health or even family members who have loved ones dealing with these experiences. Prior to my mental health training, I was enlisted in the United States Air Force which allowed me to experience various cultures, communities, and people. I feel that the time I spent in the military has not only allowed me the ability to further my education in therapy but also walk alongside people I may have never had the privilege of experiencing. It would be an honor to create a safe space for anyone wanting to explore, learn, or navigate the challenges and experiences that this amazing life has to offer.
