Hello! I am Lori Vinson, Licensed Professional Counselor from Texas. I am excited that you have reached out to Find A Therapist. Life doesn't always go as planned. I want to walk along side you as you navigate life's struggles and challenges.

I have been a counselor for 18 years, having had a private practice, as well as working in the public school setting. I have a Master's Degree in Education and a Master's in Counseling. My public education experience helped me with many facets in my career. It led me to open a private practice to better serve the families of my students along with providing an uninterrupted safe place for the student's therapy. Private practice gave me the opportunity to work with couples, families and individuals from all walks of life with a variety of personalities and struggles.

The family unit, whether it is a marriage with or without children, a single parent household or a nuclear family, is an important part of a person's mental health well-being. Even if the client is single or never been married, the family of origin is important. We will look in depth at your personality profile exploring your strengths and weaknesses. Understanding and accepting yourself helps in the resolution of many underlying issues.

I will encourage new life by using sound psychological theory and intervention in order to produce change and healthy living. I will listen to you and together we will work on a plan for your success. I want you to live a life of joy and I am ready to help you take the steps to get there.
