Welcome to Find A Therapist, my name is Loretta Brown. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a wealth of experience in mental health treatment. I obtained my MSW in 1992 from Hunter College School of Social Work. Upon completing graduate School, I began my career working in mental health providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, family and adults.
My 25 years of experience goes over and beyond the work I’ve done in mental health clinics, psychiatric hospitals, child welfare agencies, home health and hospice care. Today I have my own private practice providing behavioral health services, working with youth, adults and families. I specialize in providing evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral treatment, solution focus therapy, emotion-focus therapy and mindfulness therapies. I have a relaxed and liberal approach, allowing you to be expressive in your needs, aiding you to bring clarity to your current life situation.
My goal is to help you re-imagine your life, by letting go of thoughts and behaviors that undermine you. I strive to allow a renewed and fulfilled you to emerge. My extensive skills and experience in therapeutic approaches have brought forth a vast amount of client success.
