My name is Lora (she/her) and I have provided care to LGBTQ+ teens and adults via private practice since 2020. I have been actively involved in the Raleigh, NC LGBTQ+ community as an ally since 2015 and in my local community since 2021. Before starting my private practice, I worked for a public mental health agency where I was trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). What is your approach to therapy? I am a passionate advocate and ally who celebrates diversity whether ethnicity, race, faith, sexuality, relational, gender, etc. I have an integrative and person-centered counseling approach combining mindfulness, skill building, self-acceptance, interpersonal relationship building, and health boundary development. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? In sessions, I take a behavioral approach to therapy. This means I will assist you in learning new tools and approaches to reaching your goals. I will push and challenge you in the session so you can reach your desired outcomes!
