My goal as a Therapist is to create a safe relationship with each individual so that healing and transformation can occur. There is not a one-size-fits-all approach, but rather an individualized process that is created together. I desire to carry hope and encourage positive expectations while walking beside a person who may be experiencing hopelessness, pain, and suffering.

My education and training include a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling, a Pennsylvania license as a Professional Counselor, and a National Board Certified Counselor. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (Individual).

My experience as a Counselor includes working with geriatric adults in a locked, psychiatric facility; a therapist at two county jails and a woman's half-way house; at a community-agency which focused on re-entry for the formerly incarcerated, including young people in the juvenile-justice system; as a therapist for children and adolescents in the school-setting; and as a community outpatient therapist and clinician for a Clinical HIgh-Risk for Psychosis grant.

I utilize a Person-Centered approach that is trauma-informed, using Motivational Interviewing, CBT, somatic awareness, and the identification and use of each person’s strengths. I am also available to integrate Judeo-Christian faith perspectives, if requested.
