MY BACKGROUND
As a Primary and Clinical Therapist, I provided care to clients in both residential and outpatient mental health settings. As a clinician, I successfully, supported clients’ goals and helped them learn NEW ways TO COPE with their challenges.

AREA OF SPECIALITY
I worked with clients ages 18-70 plus, helping treat their mental health concerns of anxiety; depression, substance abuse and preventing relapse. I have expertise providing care to clients who survived traumatic events, or have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and have also worked with clients in Safety Sensitive Positions. I also have advanced post graduate training as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, and in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills. As a therapist I will use the most effective evidenced based approach to help the client’s concerns.

MY APPROACH
I have a warm, collaborative approach to therapy. I believe anyone struggling with challenges, or transitions, can benefit from a safe space to share their concerns with me.
For over 5 years, I have worked clinically alongside clients creating positive behavioral changes, helping them manage their stressors and begin their new life transitions. As a clinician, I enjoy providing therapy to clients and giving them opportunities to develop new ways to cope.

EDUCATION
Liza earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, she has a Post Graduate certificate training in Dialectal Behavior Skills Strategies, and earned a Master in Science in Clinical Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. Liza completed her Bachelors in Social Work, with a minor in Psychology from Barry University. She is a member of the Center of Jungian Studies of South Florida and the National Association of Social Workers. She is also a member with the The Association of Sandplay Therapy.
