About

Are you avoiding some of life’s most significant moments? Are you overwhelmed or stuck? Is life passing you by with nothing left? Give yourself some time to begin a journey that will help you “SAVE YOUR OWN LIFE.” Maybe you have alcohol or substance use issues, relationship problems, work-life balance stressors, or traumatic experiences from the past which you have not let go of. You can set out to find meaning in life, but something must change. Allow me to provide skills to help you help yourself to be ok by choosing YOU on the road to wellness or recovery. Therapy is a fantastic way to discover yourself. Therapy allows individuals to develop a sense of self wherein they realize how their attitudes, feelings, and behavior are being negatively affected. Now they can make a conscious effort to find their true positive potential. We will take this journey together as I create a comfortable, non-judgmental environment while demonstrating congruence (genuineness), empathy, and unconditional positive regard. We will develop realistic expectations and limitations by obtaining appropriate and realistic goals to identify progress marks. A plan of action that requires specifics to be broken down, mutually agreed-upon goals, and integrate empirically supported treatments to include self-monitoring. Homework may be given, designed to continue treatment progress and facilitate personal growth or recovery to clarify what did or did not work. If necessary and when needed, we will evaluate the response and outcome of a previous or current crisis, such as who was helpful? What was the turning point? What did you learn? Your life is too important to spend another day not living in your best moments.
