About

Hi there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LCADC) in New Jersey. I have a Master in Clinical Social Work and certificate in Addiction Counseling from Rutgers University. I've been in private practice since 2015 and have worked in the outpatient mental health setting with adults and adolescents, and in the school and in-community setting with children, adolescents and families since 2012.
My goal is to help you find your path to inner motivation leading to permanent change. Whether you've been in treatment before, or seeking help for the first time, my focus is to guide you in the right direction to gain the healing and growth you need. I specialize in anxiety and depressive disorders, and substance use and addiction issues.
Mental health disorders, substance use, and addiction are extremely complex issues which affect every aspect of a person's life - work, school, relationships, family, spirituality, the community. There is no one-fits-all treatment. Treatment encompasses many components that lead to a path of recovery, and it's my goal to create a safe and non-judgmental space, meeting you "where you are." I approach substance use and addiction issues from a Harm Reduction perspective, examining how the intersection of emotion, mental health and substance use or other addictive behaviors can create negative patterns that can become overwhelming and a barrier to functioning and growth.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and utilize varied modalities of treatment based on each individual including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, all through a Trauma Sensitive lens.
Treatment options include Individual Counseling for Adults and Adolescents, Family, and Couples Counseling.
