About
Seeking therapy is an individual choice and the reasons one makes this choice are many. For some, it is a way to deal with long-standing issues or problems. For others, it comes in response to a life-changing event. And then, there are those who begin therapy to pursue personal growth and exploration. Whatever your reason my goal as therapist, is to help you help yourself. While we can’t change the difficult and painful situations we have encountered in the past-together we can work together to better understand and resolve the challenges you are facing today.
Life presents all of us with many different paths and the occasional fork in the road. Relationship and family problems, grief and loss, past traumas, work and health issues, even finances, can be obstacles along that path and at times seem overwhelming. Other times, we may find that we have, “lost our way”. When this happens, working with a caring and experienced professional can help you gain support, perspective, and insight, as well as learn new, healthier ways to address the challenges you face as you continue along your journey.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) with almost 20 years of experience in working with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues. I am also a certified Gestalt therapist as well as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) trained. As such, I am able to offer you a personalized approach tailored to your specific needs, in a safe, comfortable and supportive atmosphere. In this environment, you may be confident your situation will be handled in a professional manner with sensitivity, compassion, and understanding.
As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
