Hello! My name is Lisa and I have been working in the counseling field for the past 4 years. I am a licensed professional counselor and a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of Arkansas. Therefore, I can only see clients that are in Arkansas at this time.

This is actually my second career as I have been a licensed registered nurse for the past 26 years. I have worked in a school based counseling setting, a day treatment facility, a nonprofit girls' shelter, and my own private practice. I have worked with individuals of all ages as well as couples, families, and groups. I have experience in working with clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting problems, family conflict, relationship issues, OCD, ADHD, high stress, divorce, and grief.

Everyone is different so everyone learns and develops a little differently. Many times I utilized solution focused techniques to support the client as they develop the skills they need to overcome challenges in their lives. Sometimes they need to practice some cognitive behavioral techniques to develop other skills. Either way, I tend to be client focused by providing a warm, supportive presence as my clients move forward at their own pace.
