Hi. I'm Lisa Smith, a Clinical Social Worker. I like our therapy to be a time of creating what next steps you are willing to try. Together we think of the barrier. I act as a coach for accountability with awareness of any diagnosis or past struggles you've had. I highlight your strengths and together we celebrate victories. The therapy I use is research-based. I'll show you the logic and ease of following incremental steps. I will share the traits of your personality or diagnosis that are working for or hindering progress. When plans don't work, we begin again. My approach I use Internal Family Systems to introduce the parts of any person. Together we name your parts and work towards balance. Many times a large part of us is a critical voice. Our inner voice. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy we discuss cognitive distortions and how to think what we want, not what intrudes. Using Problem Solving Therapy we gently make a list and pick the easiest practice. We discuss having fun and pleasure in return. My focus Traits of depression, anxiety, panic, avoidance, resistance, and unhappiness are not our best. It can lead to our world getting smaller and smaller as we avoid contact. Finding a sense of wonder or purpose and experiencing joy is therapy's goal. I am comfortable with discussing and providing supportive therapy to alternative therapies. I provide the required research-based psychotherapy for Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). I provide preparation and integration for Ketamine or provide virtual support for troche use. I provide harm reduction, preparation, and integration for people who engage in psychedelic drugs. Though this is not legal, and I do not support illegal behavior, there are information and research opportunities. My communication style I create an environment of familiarity. Ease of speaking because you are heard. I remember your story and characters. Together we find what feeling better feels like. There is nothing off-limits.
