Whether your are seeking to process past traumatic experiences that continue to have a negative impact on present day life or you simply want to assess patterns in your life that feel uncomfortable, my goal as a therapist is to guide you to learn and utilize the skills and tools needed to navigate difficult situations that are preventing you from feeling at home in your body and at ease in your daily life.
I offer attachment-focused EMDR, Mindfulness-Based CBT, Internal Family Systems and somatic psychotherapy in simple, practical ways to promote mental, emotional and physical well-being . I approach therapy as a collaborative, experiential partnership that can invite a sense of restoration, authenticity and control in an uncertain world. Helping people witness and experience their inner wisdom through kind and compassionate connection is at the core of what I do.
My specialties include trauma, grief, survivors of religious trauma, survivors of high control groups, spiritual issues, chronic health related disorders, life transitions, LGBTQ+ support and stage of life issues including aging and caregiver stress.
I incorporate EMDR into my work with clients to help process past traumatic experiences and to manage and reduce anxiety related to life stressors and life changes.. The experience of trauma of any kind is a thief that steals the safety of the present moment. As a client is ready, I believe that it is possible to gain a sense of safety in the midst of strong emotions and turbulent times by identifying and processing past experiences that continue to overwhelm present day life.
