I treat those individuals whose mental and/or behavioral health conditions have posed a negative impact on their lives, relationships and their self-concept. Many struggle with depression, anxiety, self- esteem, coping skills, communication style and patterns of functioning that have lead them to feel like their lives are severely impacted, out of control or spiraling in a downward manner. Clients, be they individuals, groups, families or couples must be willing to address, learn about and implement changes in their thinking, behavior and actions. The successful client's progress is determined by their own goals and objectives. I can help by being a kind, caring and compassionate listener and interactive partner. I am honest and forthright, often exploring observations "with an iron fist in a velvet glove" philosophy when and if they are ready for it. Most importantly, I encourage clients to proceed at their own pace and always focus on utilizing strengths. I am just another human being who is there to guide one gently in a positive direction. I look forward to helping you in a therapeutic relationship and working together to address the issues that we can work on together.
