I am a New York State licensed mental health counselor based out of New York City. I have over 10 years counseling individuals and families to overcome a variety of life challenges, including parenting, school related issues and, adjusting to a variety of life challenges.
I have an expertise in supporting parents with a variety of challenges. Including but not limited to co-parenting, helping parents cope with their child’s learning/developmental challenges and, supporting parents deal with their child’s behavioral problems. Additionally, I have experience working with adolescents and young adults cope with all the life changes related to transitioning to young adults. My professional experience includes working with clients and families of varying cultures; nationality, sexual orientation and/or identity and, faiths.
My counseling style is supportive, compassionate and, solution focused. I support my clients to set realistic goals for any of life’s problems. I help clients explore and work toward solutions when they are feeling stuck in life. I help my clients develop and utilize effective coping skills to deal with life’s unexpected changes and challenges. I provide encouragement and support to make difficult but necessary changes in your life. My counseling approach includes culturally competent counseling, cognitive behavioral techniques, and solution focused counseling. I will provide you counseling with strong consideration and respect of your cultural background.
