Welcome! Deciding to make adjustments in your life is not always an easy decision to make. But, already being here at Find A Therapist means you are motivated for change at this time. Finding the right counselor is paramount to working collaboratively on therapeutic goals. Here's a little bit about me to help you make your decision.

My name is Lisa and I am from San Antonio, Texas. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 6 years. I graduated with my Masters degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2014. I've had the pleasure of working with clients that have struggled with anxiety, excessive stress, loneliness, addiction, depression, relationship issues and other challenges in their lives. I have experience working at a community counseling clinic, a residential treatment facility and via telehealth settings.

My treatment approach is to assist you in identifying areas of your life that you would like to implement changes. Cultivating a safe environment that is comfortable for you to explore these changes is of utmost importance. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based therapy. I will typically respond to messages as soon as I can, but will check them at least three times per day Thursday-Sunday. I appreciate your patience on days when this takes longer, as I may be tending to other professional or personal responsibilities.

Outside of my work in counseling, I enjoy gardening, running, reading and baking. I look forward to meeting you and assisting you in implementing positive changes in your life to achieve your goals.
