About

Hello and welcome! I am Lisa Kornblith, licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado. I am a genuine, warm, and client-focused counselor who truly believes in the power of authentic connection. I want to get to know the real you, creating the space and opportunity for you to get to know yourself better and feel more empowered than you ever have before. I have come along side many diverse individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, identity exploration, body image issues, conflict resolution, self-injury, bullying, life purpose questioning, parenting issues, and family or blended family issues. Everyone wants first to know that they matter - to be truly seen, heard, and known exactly as you are without fear of judgement or rejection. Know that life can feel different than it does right at this moment - I want to help you, exactly where you are now in your personal and cultural contexts, step into your real self, your real goals, and your very real strengths. I use a creative blend of counseling modalities to fit each specific client I get to know and we can cater our plans to address short and/or long term goals. The modalities I draw from include solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, existential therapy, reality therapy, movement practices, art practices, wilderness therapy concepts, psychodynamic practices, and of course client-centered therapy.

My counseling style is interactive, respectful, honest, and client-led with lots of feedback. Clients tell me my approach is a great blend of professional, yet authentic and natural; quickly putting them at ease in our conversations and activities. Entrusting your genuine self and story to another human is a vulnerable and brave step - I do not take this responsibility lightly. I am honored to have been invited into the inner workings of so many clients' lives in order to truly know and help them reach their goals. I would love to work with you, and I can't wait to meet you!
