About

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington state with over 13 years of experience working with individuals in both private practice and public health settings. I have experience working successfully with clients on a wide range of issues and specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, life changes, parenting and communication within families. I have also worked with clients who have experienced trauma, either man made or environmental, and women's issues, including pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum issues.
I completed my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University and have concentrated much of my continuing education in the brain/body connection, mindfulness and meditation, hypnosis and the interaction of nutrition and movement to help mood disorders. I incorporate evidence based treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Oriented Therapy and Hypnosis/Meditation/Mindfulness practices to help client's achieve lasting change.
My approach is warm, practical, compassionate and humorous. We are going to find the right answers for each client and develop a treatment approach that is unique to that person's strengths and background. My job is to put myself out of job with each client I meet, and I work hard to see that everyone who chooses to find help, gets the help they need.
