I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 10 years of experience working as a therapist and parenting coach. I have worked with clients in a variety of areas including stress, anxiety, family conflicts, issues related to self-esteem and confidence, coping with large changes in life, depression and parenting a special needs child. I also spent some time working with children and families in the foster system, including reunification of biological families as well as facilitating adoption into new families.

I strongly believe that therapy is a partnership, by establishing a good rapport and treating clients with respect and compassion we will work together to make progress and changes. My counseling style is empathic and interactive. I work mostly from a Solution-Focused style, meaning I will listen and work to understand your situation but I will likely challenge you to look at your problem from a different perspective, or to approach a conflict using different skills or language. This can often include practicing new problem solving skills, learning new communication techniques and possibly having homework assignments outside of our sessions.
