Greetings! The search for a therapist who will best meet your needs can be daunting. Maybe I would be a good match for you. Here is a description of who I am and what I have to offer. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon and Washington. I have been a Social Worker for over 30 years and have worked with children, families, Veterans and adults of all ages. I have worked with clients experiencing depression, grief, anxiety, ADHD, relationship issues, domestic violence, PTSD, illness and end of life. I specialize in short term or brief therapy.

I am genuine, engaging and I bring compassion and presence to my practice. A therapeutic relationship requires a bond of trust, caring, and respect. For people to move forward in personal and interpersonal growth, we need to feel valued. I use an integrative approach to my practice, incorporating methods of therapy such as wellness coaching, psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and mindfulness-based stress reduction. My frame of reference focuses on wellness, not illness. My approach is client centered. This is about your process and your goals. My goal through this process will be the same as your goal – to help you close the gap between where you are right now and where you want to be in the future.

I am a joyful person by nature. I think it is important for a therapist to have contentment and a generous level of peace and acceptance in their own life. There is no escaping sadness and for some of us great trauma in a lifetime. Being vulnerable requires courage and being courageous requires vulnerability. I believe where there is sadness there is always joy somewhere nearby. Wherever we are in life, there is only forward. I am here for you.
