Hello, I have been a practicing License Professional Counselor for almost 20 years working with troubled adults and seniors. Recently I have also worked with a special population of expectant moms and moms with new babies. I work with individuals with a wide range of concerns including; trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, loneliness, coping with life changes, aging and depression.
I obtained my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Michigan State University, after work many years in the community, I received certification to provide supervise to other counselors and psychotherapist. I am also a certified by the Red Cross for Disaster Mental Health Training.
My therapeutic approach focuses on encouraging and assisting clients in developing resilience, flexibility and increased self worth through established and recognized solution focused methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Discussing your concerns with a caring professional is essential in redirecting your life toward greater meaning and purpose and to reflect your love and peace. Our goal for each session is to promote growth and build upon the strengths you already have. All therapies are based upon established and recognized Solution Focused methods such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
I also offer the option to include Christian Prayers, Affirmations and Scripture Reading in our counseling sessions.
