Linda Daly is licensed as an LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker by the state of Colorado, which requires an MSW, two years of supervexperience and passing an examinatioin with ongoing training requirements. Her license number is 984009. Her master’s degree in social work, an MSW, is from the University of Denver. Ongoing education and a fee is required to keep the license, but no further education or testing.
Linda Daly also holds a BSW in Social Work from the University of Kansas and a BA in creative writing and studio art from Mills College and an MA in American Literature from Colorado State University.
Linda Daly has an ACSW certification in social work through the National Association of Social workers that requires an MSW, two years of experience and passing a national examination. -A Certified Addiction Counselor lll (CAClll) must have a bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, complete CACll requirements, and complete additrequired training hours, 2,000 additional hours of supervised experience, and pass a national exam.
-A Licensed Addiction Counselor must have a clinical master’s degree, meet the CAC lll requirements, and pass a national exam.
-A licensed Social Worker must hold a master’s degree from a graduate schoolof social work and pass an examination in social work.
-ALicensed Clinical Social Worker must hold amaster’s or doctorate degree from a graduate schoolof social work, practiced as a social workfor atleast two years, and pass an examination in social work.
-A Psychological Candidate, A Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate, and a Licensed Professional Counsrlor must hold the necessary licensing degree and be in the process of completing the resupervision for licensure.

As a client you are entitled to receive information about the methods of therapy, the techniques used, the duration of therapy, if known, and the fee structure. The fee structure is set by Find A Therapist, so please refer to them to get that information.
Linda Daly uses an integrated approach to Trauma, which may involve EMDR, Mindfulness, Person Centered Therapy, Trauma Processing, or other intervention. Note Linda Daly is married, has adult children and minor aged grandchildren, rides horses and has show dogs, in addition to hobbies such as painiting, reading writing. She will always hold forth that the client knows best.
Linda Daly approaches her work with a trauma lens, respectful of personal differences and needs, whether a child or adult. Linda Daly is experienced in working with all ages, with specialities with children and seniors, EMDR and couple work. She has extensive experience working in trauma settings and community mental health centers.
It can be difficult to describe therapy in general statements, as it varies based on the personalities of the therapist and client and the issues that you wish to address. It requires you to be active in the process. You may discuss difficult topics and can bring up feelings of sadness, anger, guilt, or hopelessness. However therapy often has benefits to the people who experience it and it may lead to improved relationships, solutions to specific problems and reduction of negative feelings. There is no guarantee that any mental health therapy will be successful. Generally 12 sessions are need to begin to achieve change but my be much longer. For example, play therapy is minimally seen as needing 20 sessions to effect change. Some individuals may have sessions for a year or more, othrs decide to terminate very early in therapy. It realy is up to you, however Linda Daly may also decide that her services are not the best fit and refer you elsewhere.
Linda Daly is not medical provider and would encourage you to consult your primary care doctor about medical issues. You are entitled and Linda Daly would encourage you to keep in regular communication with her about your progress in treatment and your treatment goals will be on the Find A Therapist portal for you to read and you can ask for the goals to be changed at anypoint in the treatment and your agreement is then electronic.
Linda Daly sees persons of both sexes and all sexual orientations, races and religions, adults or children 3 and up, as well as couples and families. Post traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, stress management, communication issues, bi-polar, ADHD, anger issues, attachment, grief, being a victim of bullying, sexual abuse, physical abuse or neglect are typical of clients seen in the practice. She does not specialize in substance abuse, criminal justice matters, psychosis or character disorders. In those circumstance, she will refer you elsewhere, or if you are involved in substance abuse treatment elsewhere, such as AA, then you can be seen by Linda Daly for mental health issues, such as described above.
Attachment, independence and self estem may be the focus of treatment for minors. Family therapy may also be provided for children and their families or couples to improve communication. ere are individual sessions on behalf of the client with family members, or support persons, or partners without the client, where the focus is on finding a way to support the client, with the permission of the client.
Hours are subject to change and are posted on the Find A Therapist wevsite. Generally offered are some morning hours, afternoon and evenings but not usually weekends. Several times a year Linda Daly may be out of the office a week or more but will let that be known well in advance. She may still be reached and will do her best to return your call, text or Find A Therapist chat within 24 hours or the day following a weekend or holicay. Information provided by the client during therapy sessions is leglly confidential in the case of licensed marriage and family therapists, social workers, professional counselors, and psychologogist; licensed or certified addiction couselors; and registered psychotherapists, except as provided in S12-245-220 and except for certain legl exceptions that will be identified by the licensee, registrant, or certificate holder should any such situation arise during therapy.
No recommendqtioin can be made regarding custody of a child. Both parents must sign for therapy, unless a court order can be presented or other documents showing one parent or a legal guardian holds medical authority. A release of information is required to be signed for health professionals, legal professionals, school officials, etc., to have information disclosed or sent from Find A Therapist.
Children age 12 to 18 may sign up for there own sessions without permission of ther parents. See Find A Therapist if this is your situation.
A release of information is required for disclosure of PHI, including a release of records to the client, which will be a summary including dates of treatment, times of treatment, therapy approach, diagnosis, progress and prognosis.
Any client unable to read or write can have an oral explanation of the consents and disclosures when needed. You are entitled to request restrictions on certain uses and disclosures of protected health information as provided by 45 CFR 164.522a. Linda Daly will attempt to help you with these requests, but is not necessarily required to do so. This consent can be revoked in writing at any time.
There are some instances requiring disclosure of pHI, as provided in C.R>S>12-43-218. You should be aware that provisions concerning disclosure may not apply in criminal or juvenile delinquency cases, as provided in C.R.S.13-90-107. Linda Daly is required to report child abuse or neglect; abuse or exploitation of an at-risk adult or elderlyadult if you as the client or other neamed victim is the perpetrator, observer of or actual victim of physical, emotional or sexual abuse of children under the age of 18 years or elderly person who may be subjected to these abuses or there is suspected nelect of any the the above such parties.
If it is determined that you are a risk to yourself or others, where there is substantiak risk of incurring serious bodily harm, including those identifiable by their association with a specific location or entity, Linda Daly is required to disclose such information to the appropriate authorities or warn the party, location or entity you may hav3 threeatened grave bodily harm or death to another person or if you are gravely disabled.
Linda Daly may also discuss confidential information in the course of supervision or consultation, in the event of a complaint or civil suit filed against linda Daly or if Linda Daly is ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction to disclose such information or if a court of law issues a legitimate subpoena for information stated on the subpoena.
Another limitation on client help privilege of confidentiality exists if a client is in therapy or being treated by order ofa court of law, or if information is obtained for the purpose of rending an expert’s report to an attorney.
In addition there are other exceptions to confidentiality as provided by HIPPA regulations and other Federal and/or Colorado lasws and regulations that may apply.
Electronic information is also protect by confidentiality but there are limits that cannot be guaranteed. Emails, zoom, phone calls, texts and other platforms may have risks of access by a third party.
