Good for you! Reaching out for help takes a lot of courage. I am here to help you with whatever prompted you to reach out to this site. I believe that life throws us curve balls from time to time. This sometimes leaves one struggling with issues of depression, anxiety, relationship problems, addiction as well as other challenges. I would like to help you deal with your challenges and help you begin to thrive again, rather than to simply survive.
I have worked as a counselor for many years, having obtained my license as a Licensed Professional Counselor in 1999. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Masters in Education. I spent the first part of my adult career working in the field of Special Education. Later, I began to notice the need for people to have mental health professionals who were down to earth and practical. So, I returned to school and graduated from Mississippi State University with an Education Specialist Degree in Counseling.
I approach counseling from a nonjudgemental, down to earth approach. Life is tough and I like to provide a "welcoming harbor in the storm" environment for addressing the client's problems.
