I have experience working with community-based mental health agencies, managed care, and private practice. My passion is working with children and families. I believe that the family is an important institution in society, that needs to be preserved. I am sensitive to the client's perspective and I never prescribe or make recommendations that are in direct violation of the client's culture, values, or beliefs. My specialty areas include trauma, child abuse, parenting issues, family therapy, coping with loss, play therapy, stress management and life transitions. I approach therapy from a client-centered approach, focusing on validating the client's feelings and displaying empathy, with a strong emphasis on the client being the expert.
