About

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), my goal is to be a supportive and empathetic guide, helping you use your strengths to work through the barriers that hold you back and develop the tools you need to set healthy boundaries. With experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, body image and disordered eating, and addiction, I recognize that no two people are alike, so finding the right combination of techniques and tools for each person is essential to healing. I have training in solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). In each of these instances, and particularly with trauma and EMDR, my mission is to loosen the grip of what holds you back, enabling you to create a new life that serves you better. I know that reaching out for help takes strength and courage. As a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), I’ve seen how drug and alcohol dependence impacts everyone. Because addiction is a family disease, I provide education, support, and a compassionate environment to everyone affected by it, working collaboratively with patients and their families to provide a better understanding of the progression and treatment of addiction, its impact on mental health disorders, and how the commitment to recovery requires the participation of everyone in the family. Because I strongly believe in each person’s power to transform their life, I host the podcast Let’s Be Honest, addressing mental health issues in pop culture and our daily lives. This cohesive look at how current events, culture, and mental health intersect is where we strip away the stigma surrounding mental health and understand how these dynamics shape who we are and how we experience the world around us. It’s more important than ever that we get real about what’s happening within and around us.
