About
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist working with families, couples and individuals for the past twelve years in California. I attended Chapman University with a focus in Psychology and Counseling. I have had the pleasure of working in numerous multidisciplinary teams in California and with community and county agencies which has enriched and fulfilled my career and also in my client centered perspective. I have a background in trauma focused treatment as well as working with people with depression and bipolar disorder; including co-morbidity with perceptual disturbances and substance use. I have training in CBT and DBT which I find helpful with anger management, distress tolerance and coping strategies. I have had the pleasure to be involved in strategic solution focused treatment trainings which serve to fit our busy and fast paced lifestyles. It is my passion to help clients find a more mindful and pleasant life experience and it is my pleasure to enrich your life journey towards balance, comfort and peace.
The Danish have a word for a relaxing peaceful existence, "hygge" defined as a comfort, warmth and pleasure in the simple soothing things such as a cozy atmosphere or the feeling of friendship. An opportunity to seek contentment, a feeling of friendship and peace and cherishing the well being through all of the little things in life that provide comfort and joy.
"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
