I am an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) licensed in California with close to 10 years of experience working as therapist and close to 20 years working as a social worker. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting/ family problems, career challenges, OCD, discrimination issues and more. I believe that life is hard sometimes for all of us. There are times when we all could benefit from having someone listen in a nonjudgmental way, encourage us to explore our feelings and thoughts, provide different perspectives on the problem or issues at hand and ask questions that help us discover ways to make changes. Therapy is not about stigmatizing people or putting labels on people, it is about supporting people as they make the attempt to explore the idea of changing their life and growing in new directions. I am happy to explore and discuss a persons particular diagnosis if it is relevant to our goals in treatment, such as learning more about a diagnosis and how to cope with it in a healthier way. As a therapist, it is an honor to provide support for a client as they take courageous steps towards their personal growth and empowerment. I will always treat you with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and expressive arts if there is interest. Ultimately, our work together is not one-size-fits-all. We will get to know each other and discuss goals and treatment plans that are unique to you and ways that you would like to grow in your life.
