Hello, Hello, Hello!! My name is Lekeshia, Licensed Clinical Social Work-Supervisor. I am excited you have taken the time to learn more about me. I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina-Columbia with a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work and a graduate of The Johnson C Smith University-Charlotte NC with a Bachelors degree in Social Work with a minor in addiction. I am certified as a wellness coach (trained through the Duke University wellness curriculum) and substance abuse counselor. I am a minority friendly therapist and I am a spiritual practitioner. I am currently licensed in North and South Carolina in both Social Work and Addiction. I am passionate about distilling hope and healing in every aspect of your life.I have worked in the health/mental health field for over 25 years with experience in Managed Care, Program Management, Administration, Clinical Practice and Residential Services. My career in the field of Behavioral Health has provided me diversity in serving various populations which includes: crisis services, community mental health dual diagnosis, geriatric long term care, geriatric home health, intellectual disabilities, program management and administration. Managed Care systems throughout North and South Carolina has been the abundance of my career allowing me the opportunity to gain a passion for systems change and community health disparities. I possess an outstanding knowledge of principles of psychology and health ailments with an expertise in implementing many types of behavioral and counselling therapies. As a certified health coach, I value the collaboration of healing the mind, body and spirit. My treatment modality if from an integrated care perspective with an whole health approach. Common theories utilized include: Solution Focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing.
