About

It is a pleasure to have you here as a first step in your healing process. I love to work with young, middle-aged, and older adults to discover new paths in life and happiness. As the old saying goes, “there is always room for improvement.” Depending on the patient’s needs, I individualize each treatment plan accordingly to focus on their top priorities. Therapy is beneficial when there is a 50/50 involvement. Thus, the therapeutic plan and process are actively carried out by both the therapist and the patient. I involve the individual in each step of the way, from treatment plan to problem resolution, by recognizing the symptoms, examining the communication skills, and analyzing any complex thought patterns. I have lived in Florida for decades. You could say I am a true Floridian! I fulfilled all of my education, training, and license requirements in Florida. I achieved an integrative education that combined a strong foundation in both physical and psychological sciences. My educational background started with a bachelor of science in pre-med and biomedical sciences and psychology. I then pursued a master of science in mental health counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Thereafter, I continued and achieved a biomedical neuroscience graduate certificate specialty from the University of Florida College of Medicine. I am also a board-certified neurotherapist and board-certified in neurofeedback. I have a keen interest in understanding the mind from a physiological aspect. I believe it is important for a clinician to be up-to-date with the continuous improvements in science and research. Thus, I participate in advanced training and professional development from reputable institutions in order to provide my clients with the best possible service and the most up-to-date knowledge. My latest continuing professional development was a one-week live course about neurological disorders at Harvard in 2018.
