Finding the right person to help you through these challenges is very important. If you don't have a good relationship with your counselor, you won't make the progress you are hoping to achieve. I want to provide you with some information about me in order to help you decide if my experience and style is the right match for you.

I have 15 years of years of experience working in the Behavioral Health field. I received my bachelor’s in psychology from the University of New Mexico before going on to gain my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University. I have over six years’ experience providing direct therapy to individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, LGBTQ+ issues and other diagnoses. I have worked with a wide population, including children and adults. I am certified in Trauma Informed Care and Mental health First Aide. My approach utilizes trauma informed cognitive-behavioral, humanistic and psychodynamic modalities. I believe in meeting people where they are and work to build strong therapeutic relationships with my clients. The feedback I receive from clients is that they find me to be caring and nonjudgmental, and they appreciate that I am honest and direct with them.

I can interact with you in whatever manner you are most comfortable. I find it helpful to participate in video sessions so that we can get to know each other better. But I am also available to you via phone and text if that is more comfortable for you. I know how hard it can be to find a counselor who you feel a connection with and I would be honored to work with you through this stage of your life.
